'Death is a Place'
‘Death’ is energy un-manifested.
‘Death’ is both empty and pregnant
‘Death’ is pure potential
‘Death’ surrounds and is embedded within Life giving to Life, more Life and yet more Life, in endless transformation.
‘Death’ is a desire and an impulse to life.
‘Death’ is a waking into new life.
Death turned to sand in my hands, escaping through my fingers.
There is no death
This installation and performance engages with the universal transcendent nature of death,
culturally specific traditions and responses to death,
as well as historical instances of genocide.
